SUMMARY:18 hour New York State Concealed Carry Firearms Safety Training Course
DESCRIPTION:This is the mandatory course for the New York State Concealed Carry Firearm Safety Training as required under New York State Law for a NYS Concealed Carry Pistol License.\n\nIt is a minimum of 18 hours which includes 16 hour classroom and 2 hour range session.\nIn order to pass\, attendees are required to pass a written examination scoring a minimum of 80% as well as shoot a live fire minimum proficiency qualification at the range.\nThis course meets the minimum standards as outlined by the DCJS\n  \nTopics will include: \n\nFirearms safety and safe handling practices\nFirearm and ammunition function and operation\nCleaning and maintenance\nRange safety\nHolster and accessory considerations\nConcealed carry considerations\nSafe storage and transportation requirements\nState / Federal gun laws / Restricted areas\nEffects of drugs and alcohol\nSuicide prevention / recognizing the signs\nConflict de-escalation and management\nSituational awareness and concealed carry\nUse of deadly force and duty to retreat / NY Article 35\nProper interaction with law enforcement\nFundamentals of shooting\n\n* Our Class is approved for Wayne\, Seneca\, Ontario\, Yates & Monroe County Residents *\n  \nClass will be from 8a – 5p on both days\n  \n  \nCLICK FOR CLASS REGISTRATION & PAYMENT
