DESCRIPTION:The NRA Basic Shotgun course will provide the basic knowledge\, skills\, and attitude for the safe and proper use of a shotgun in shooting a moving target.\n\nThis course includes classroom and range time learning how to shoot shotguns at moving targets. Students will receive the Basics of Shotgun Shooting handbook\, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure\, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet\, take a Basics of Shotgun Shooting Student Examination\, and course completion certificate.\n\n\n\n\nSubjects Covered\n\nNRA rules for safe gun handling\nShotgun parts and operation\nShotgun shell components\nShotgun shell malfunctions\nShooting fundamentals\nRange rules\nShooting at straight away and angled targets\nCleaning\n\nContinued opportunities for skill development. \n\n\n\nRequired Equipment:\nFor this class\, you will need the following items:\n\nA working and reliable shotgun (any action is fine)\nEye and ear protection\n100 rounds of shot (Instructor will specify type and size)\nWeather-appropriate clothing\nComfortable footwear
